Daisy Ortiz-Berger will bring the common sense of a taxpayer and the leadership and financial skills of a proven business executive to the Board of Freeholders to better protect taxpayers and improve county services.
Daisy’s story in one of inspiration: one of rising from a working class family in the city to today being a nationally-recognized business person and leader in the Hispanic community. Daisy has also always given of herself to help others – from feeding the homeless in her native Bronx community to visiting the elderly to teaching in church.
A Sigma Six black belt, Daisy will bring vast proven experience in the real world to the Board of Freeholders. Today, she is the Director of Marketing for Isuzu of America, and has worked previously at Citibank and Ford Motor Company among other well-known organizations.
Daisy earned her B.A. in Economics and Business Administration for Herbert H. Lehman College of CUNY, Scholars Program and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
She was a 2002 Executive Leadership Program Fellow at Harvard University part of the NHLI.
Daisy, who lives in River Edge with her husband, Robert, is the proud mother of two children.
